How rights holders get uploads and lyrics taken down from alias.boo.
01 the short version
Only put things on alias that are yours or that you are allowed to use. If you own the rights to something on an alias.boo page and did not say yes to it being there, tell us and we take it down.
02 what this covers
Everything members upload or show on their page: pictures, banners, backgrounds, videos, songs, cursors, fonts, link icons, the lyrics shown with a song, and the text of a profile.
03 songs and lyrics
A song on a page, and the lyrics that play along with it, need to be the member's own or used with permission. Lyrics that alias syncs for a member are still that member's responsibility. Rights holders can ask for a song, its lyrics, or both to come down.
04 how to ask for a takedown
Open a ticket in the alias Discord at alias.boo/discord (pick Report a member). Send the alias.boo page link, which file or lyrics it is, what work it copies, who you are and that you own the rights or act for whoever does, and a line saying you believe in good faith the use is not allowed.
05 what happens next
Kh8da or staff look at it as soon as they can. If the claim holds up, the file, song or lyrics are removed or switched off and the member is told why. Nothing is shared with the member beyond what they need to know about the claim.
06 if you think we got it wrong
Members whose content came down can answer in a ticket: say why you have the right to use it. If that holds up, it can go back up. Claims made in bad faith, or to bully someone, are not taken and can get the claiming account removed.
07 repeat infringers
A member with repeated valid claims loses uploads first, and then the account. Plus does not protect an account from this, and Plus is not refunded when an account is removed for it.
08 rank art
The rank pictures in ranked sections belong to the games' makers: Riot Games (VALORANT, League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics), Valve (Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2), Blizzard Entertainment (Overwatch), Electronic Arts (Apex Legends), Epic Games (Fortnite), Ubisoft (Rainbow Six Siege X), Psyonix (Rocket League) and NetEase Games (Marvel Rivals), and FACEIT's levels belong to FACEIT. alias shows them so a checked rank looks the way it does in the game, with the maker named under it. A maker who wants theirs off alias can ask the same way as any takedown, and it comes off every page at once.
09 trademarks and handles
A handle that impersonates someone or infringes a trademark is covered by the terms: we can take it back. Ask the same way, through a ticket.
