terms, plainly.
The rules for using alias, plainly.
01 the short version
alias is a free app and a profile site, run by Kh8da. Be decent, only claim what is yours, and do not use alias to bother anyone or break the rules of other platforms.
02 your account
You sign in with one of the accounts the sign-in page offers. You are responsible for what happens on your account. One person, one account.
03 age
You need to be at least 13 to use alias, or older if the law where you live sets a higher age for using online services on your own (some countries in Europe say 16). Under that age, please do not make an account. We delete accounts we find out belong to someone younger.
04 your alias.boo handle
Handles are first come, first served, except premium and reserved ones. Move your page to a new handle and the old one stays yours for 7 days, then anyone can take it (you again after 7 more days). We can take back a handle that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, or sits unused on a deleted account. Premium handles may be sold later. Buying one gives you the right to use it on alias.boo, not ownership of the word.
05 verified handles
You can only verify handles you control. Faking a verification, or keeping a code in a bio you do not own, gets the handle removed and can get your account removed too. Worth estimates are for fun. They are not appraisals, offers, or financial advice. alias never buys, sells, or brokers accounts on other platforms.
06 the app
The app is free and stays free. It checks public username availability and spaces requests out so platforms are treated fairly. Do not modify it to hammer platforms, run it as a bot, or resell its results.
07 your profile content
You own what you put on your profile. You give us permission to show it on alias.boo. No illegal content, no hate, no sexual content involving minors, no doxxing, no malware links. We can hide content or profiles that break this.
08 invites
Invites are free. Selling invite links is not allowed and the links get disabled.
09 plus and payments
alias Plus is a one time purchase of €4.99, in euros. It is not a subscription and never renews. It turns on the Plus looks and extras listed on the pricing page for the account it is bought for. Plus is bought, never handed out with early access: getting in early gets you the Early badge. While alias is invite only, only people who got in can buy it.
10 how paying works
You pay with bunq.me or with crypto, nothing else. A bunq.me payment is checked by hand: upload the screenshot on your order and a person on the team confirms it in bunq before Plus turns on. Crypto confirms on its own once the exact amount on your order arrives on the network it names. A different amount, coin or network goes to the team, who sort it out by hand.
11 gifts
You can buy Plus for someone else who has a page. It goes to them, not to you. They get the Gifted badge and you get the Gifter badge. Someone who already has Plus cannot be gifted it.
12 refunds
Refunds are handled case by case. Open a Plus and payments ticket in the alias Discord (alias.boo/discord) with your order id and say what happened.
13 changes and ending
We can change these terms and will say so on the site. You can delete your account at any time in Studio settings or by asking us. We can suspend accounts that break these terms.
14 no warranty
alias is provided as is. Platforms change their rules and APIs, so a check can be wrong. Always confirm on the platform before you rely on a result.
