Making your page look like you
Every look option in the Studio, and what is free versus Plus.
The Studio
The Studio opens on your dashboard: where your page stands and what is left to set up. Page holds every part of it in sections, with your page live beside them; tap any part of the page and its section opens. Links, sections, templates and stats have screens of their own, and so do your handles, ranks, badges, share card, invites, Plus, settings and uploads. What you see beside the controls is what visitors get.
Press Ctrl+K to find any setting by name: it takes you right to it and lights it up. Nothing is live until you press go live, which shows what changed first.
Tip: Your changes are kept on alias.boo as you go, so they follow you to your other devices. Ctrl+Z undoes, and the history brings back any version of your page. Rather edit on the page itself? Studio 2.0 is in your account menu: click any part of your page, and double click your words to write them in place.
What you can change
- 32 backgrounds, including your own image, or a video with Plus. Most react to the cursor.
- 5 layouts (Portrait puts your photo first, big) and 6 card looks, with corners, blur, opacity and glow.
- Name effects, cursor effects, screen filters and entrances.
- A banner, a status, a location, link style and icon tint.
- Whether your handle worth shows in full, as a tier only, or not at all.
Plus looks
21 backgrounds, 9 name effects, 17 cursors, 4 filters, 8 entrances and 3 fonts are Plus, and so is a cursor of your own (one of the pack, or a picture of yours made into one). You can try them in the preview, but without Plus your published page falls back to the free default for those.
Stickers
In the Studio press Ctrl+K and type stickers (or tap one already on your page) and pick one of the pack, or with Plus put up a picture of yours. Then move it right on your card: drag it, turn it with the round handle, size it with the square one. They can hang over the card's edges, or tuck behind it and peek out.
Up to 3, or 12 with Plus. With the phone frame on, a sticker you move moves on phones only, so it can sit somewhere else there.
Tip: A PNG, WebP or GIF with a see-through background looks most like a real sticker. GIFs keep moving.
The little things
- Languages: the ones you speak, on a line of their own under your name.
- Your location can sit still, or with Plus scramble into place or type itself out.
- The browser tab: your own words and how they move, and with Plus up to 12 more lines it takes turns with. With Typed it types each one out and deletes it before the next. Timer, with Plus, counts how long someone has been on your page.
- Click to enter: just the words, or with Plus your portrait, a card, typed, glitching, or Arch (the words bent along an arch, bobbing in a wave). With Plus it also takes your own words and a small line under them.
- Tap to play: no enter screen, and the first tap anywhere on your page starts the song.
- A volume bar in the corner while your song plays, the enter screen included.
- Share and QR buttons in the other corner, so people can pass your page on.
- The drawn entrances, with Plus (Blueprint, Trace, Signal, Circuit and Lock): your page draws itself in light first, then fills in piece by piece.
- Widgets: your Discord profile (your name, tag, badges and status), live cards for YouTube, a Discord server, Roblox, GitHub, Telegram, the weather where you are, your local time, a Minecraft player, or one of your songs with its own play button. Up to 6, in your card or in a column of their own beside it.
