Music and synced lyrics
A song on your page, with lyrics that follow along.
Adding a song
Click the player on your page, or press Ctrl+K and type songs. Add up to 5 (10 with Plus): upload the file or paste a link, give it a title, an artist and a cover.
A file with tags (MP3, FLAC or M4A) brings its title, artist and cover along by itself. Change any of them after.
Tip: Go live once the song is on it. Lyrics hook onto songs that are live.
Trimming, and what plays next
Press Trim under a song and drag its two handles over the song's shape (or focus one and use the arrows): your page plays only the part between them. Pick a fade in of 1 to 5 seconds and it comes in from quiet.
- When a song ends: the next song (a single song plays again), Again (the same one from its start), or Stop.
- Shuffle, with Plus: your songs in a random order, a different first song each visit.
The player
- Pill: small, up top. Vinyl: a record that turns while it plays.
- Lyric card: the song with a few lines of its lyrics running along (1 to 5, you pick).
- Waveform, with Plus: the song's shape as its seek bar, with the lyrics under it too.
- Ticker, with Plus: one line with the song's name running past.
- Now playing: the cover and the song's name, no buttons at all. A tap on it opens the lyrics.
- Background: no player at all, the song just plays, with a volume control in the corner. It needs Click to enter or Tap to play, because browsers only start a song after a tap.
Then pick its spot: on the screen (it floats over your page), in your card, above it, below it, or beside it as a card of its own (under it on a phone). Portfolio, Bento and Tabs keep it on the screen.
Lyrics
Press Lyrics under a song. Four ways to get them on:
- Find: looks the song up by title and artist on LRCLIB, a free lyrics library. Most come already timed.
- Paste: plain lines, or LRC with timestamps like [01:02.30].
- Tap to time: the song plays, you tap (or hit space) as each line starts.
- Auto sync, with Plus: alias listens to a song you uploaded and times the lines for you.
On your page a mic button (or a tap on the lines in the player) opens them full screen, and a tap on any line jumps there. Lyrics without timings show as a still sheet.
- Apple Music style: big lines, the one being sung filling with light word by word, the rest soft and out of focus.
- Spotify style: the lines on your song's own color, the one being sung in white, the ones to come dark.
- One line: only the line being sung, filling word by word, the next one taking its place as the song goes.
Every language reads the right way: Persian, Arabic and Hebrew lines run and fill from the right, and Japanese, Chinese and Thai fill word by word too.
