Getting in during early access
Invite links, the waitlist, and how many people one invite brings.
With an invite link
- Open the link someone sent you. It looks like alias.boo/i/abcd1234.
- Sign up right there: your email, the name you want and a password. Nothing to paste.
- Confirm your email from the link we send. The Studio opens, and you can link Discord or Google for a quicker sign in and turn on two step sign in.
Tip: On the waitlist already? Sign up with the same email and the name you hold comes up by itself. Pick another and the held one stays yours for 2 days, in case you switch back.
Tip: Got a code instead of a link? Open alias.boo/i/ and the code.
Without a link
Join the waitlist with your email and the name you want. Confirm the email and you're in line, with the name held for you: nobody else can take it while you wait. The team lets people in by hand, and a friend's invite link skips the line.
When alias opens to everyone, the list gets an email to finish signing up, and each name stays held for 30 days. After that, names nobody came back for are free again.
Your own invites
Members start with 3 invites, and get one back each time someone they invited puts their page up, 2 more at most: 5 in all. Each one makes a single use link, so one invite is strictly one person. Bring all 5 people in and you earn the Plug badge.
Careful: Selling invite links is not allowed. Sold links get disabled.
